If you’ve never hired a web designer before, you probably have some questions about the value we can bring to your business. And if you have hired web designers in the past, you may wonder what makes us different from others you have worked with.

Below you will find answers to these and other questions about us and the services we offer.

Have you done the ‘what your time is worth’ math?

Let’s say for example that your time is worth 1,000 kr/hour, not based on your hourly salary but on the value you bring into the company. And let’s say that you would need a minimum of 3 working days (24 hours) to do a basic design of your company website. That’s the equivalent to 24,000 kr. Meanwhile a web designer may be able to do the same and more for you for half the price, saving you both money and time to chase down some more business.

What value can we bring to you and to your business?

These are big numbers and just one example of many other trend-studies showing that online visibility of your business is important to your customers. It also shows that the importance is increasing over time.

This means basically that having a professional, easy-to-find website will help you both to retain and grow your customer base and will therefore contribute to the success of your business.

Then the next questions is: Why should you need the help from a web designer to build your company website, when there are so many tools out there that assure you can do it by yourself with a minimum (or zero-money) investment?

Here are a couple of good reasons:

  • Yes, there are plenty of tools and fancy templates that you can buy at a low price or even free of charge and that include ‘user-friendly’ interfaces. And yes, they are easy to use as far as you don’t want to deviate from their pre-defined options. But if you need to do any changes – which happens in most cases when you want the design to fit your content and not the other way around -,  you need a more profound knowledge of programming and web design. Even in the case that you would find ‘the template’ fitting almost perfectly your business needs, wouldn’t you like to have a bit of a differentiation?
  • If you own a small or medium size business, you may also wonder if you can afford to hire a web designer while you can try to do the design yourself. What is included in the web design service that we offer?

Web design is what we are specialists in and what we mainly work with. It includes anything that has to do with the layout and composition of your website – in other words, with it’s look & feel – and also the functionality that will allow higher interaction between you and your clients. This includes for example:

  • distribution of the space,
  • suggestion of colors, images and typography,
  • effects to guide the visitors’ eyes through the content (also WoW effects),  and
  • functionality to enhance the visitors’ experience (e.g. newsletters/e-mail marketing, enhanced contact forms, e-commerce capabilities or booking functions).

Along with specific development/programming where needed.

We also offer an administration service to secure that your website will look tomorrow as good as it looks today.

What is not included then in our web design service? There are two components that you will need to provide us with in order to build together your company website:

  • the textual content or ‘copy’ describing e.g. who you are, what you offer and what makes you different; and
  • your visuals, company logo and customized photos of e.g. your office, products and staff.

What if you need support with the content of your website?

No worries. There are different solutions depending on the level of support that you think you are going to need.

If you have already thought through the basics of your company’s mission, strategy and other key information about your services and products, such as your differentiation points, you may want to write the content of your company website yourself/yourselves. We have some questionnaires that will help you putting your ideas together.

If you have it all clear in your head but you are not good in writing, highly demanding or have it hard to set time aside while running your business – remember the ‘what your time is worth’ math -, we have some fellow copywriters that can help you wording your marketing messages in a compelling way.

We also have a network of marketing and communications experts that we cooperate with in case you would need further support.

And if you are sitting close to us, we know who to recommend to take some stunning photos of your products, office or staff living up to the quality of the rest of the content in your company website.

What is our design process?

We like to work in an organized and efficient manner with all our clients. Knowing ahead of time what all of the steps are from start to finish seems to make sense and enhances productivity.

Our 8-step process includes:

1. Initial Contact

We can be reached via our Contact page on our company website, by email at hej@andreass78.sg-host.com or by phone at +46 706 190 173. Within one business day, we will get back to you so that we can set a date and time to discuss your project further.

2. Discussing the Project and Questionnaire

You should plan up to 30 minutes to discuss your project, particularly if we have never worked together. If you already have a website, we will definitely want to get on to it and take a look while we talk (just to get a quick idea).

We have a standard questionnaire (no worries – all pretty easy questions!) to get a feeling for what you are looking for, what you actually need, and of course, to make sure we can help you within the timeline you have in mind.

We will then put a detailed proposal together within 2-7 business days (depending on the complexity of your project).

3. Investment and Getting Started

Your business is important to you – and it’s important to us too. For this reason, we want to focus completely on your project – not on the clock. The best way we have found for this to happen is to quote on a “per-project basis”.

Our terms of payment are 50% to get started and 50% when the website is published to your total satisfaction.

4. The Content

To build a creative and fancy looking website requires essentially good web design and web development skills. To design a website that truly shows who you are as a company and what your brand represents requires in addition to learn as much as possible about your products, services and culture.

We also want to make sure that it is our design what will fit and enhance your messages and not the other way around. That’s why first and essential before we get hands-on with the design is that we receive the content from you and your team. This is visual content like your logo but mainly the textual content or ‘copy’ including a description of your offering, your selling arguments and any key messages you want to address to your target audience.

After that, we will start building the first draft of your website following of course, a thorough reading of all your information and a detailed look at your competitors’ websites.

5. First Draft

The time required for a first draft is different for each project. As you can imagine, a 5-pages website with standard functionally does not take as long to design as, for example, a 10-pages website including a blog, a photo gallery and e-commerce capabilities.

When we put a proposal together (step 3), we include the lead-time for your particular project and we will discuss and agree on a delivery date for all the key milestones, including the first draft. We do not miss deadlines so if you have not received your draft by the due date, please call so we can resend it.

6. Revisions

Included in your investment is your satisfaction, and therefore revisions are necessary to make everything just right and to your liking. As long as we stay within the original scope, we will work with you and optimize the design in the direction you want to take it. Two rounds of revisions are included.

Revisions must be assigned within 30 days of receipt of the first draft.

7. Publication

When we are both satisfied with the design, we will publish the “final version” of your company website.

At this point, you should have also received an offer from us for the administration service of your website. Depending on your needs and skills, there are different levels of service that you can chose from to maintain your company website in good shape, and it is of course, totally voluntary.

8. New Projects

It’s never too early to start thinking of the next step you want to take to extend your web presence. Now that we know your company well, we are ready and looking forward to once again supporting you with your new projects!

How much do you need to invest?

The following examples are meant to give you an indication of the prices we charge depending on the size and complexity of the project.

Each project is different and we spend time preparing a detailed quote to ensure that your objectives will be met and that you will be totally satisfied with your investment.

Example 1: Web Professional (12,000 kr)

Design of a 5-pages website, including:

  • Homepage and 4 more pages, e.g. Services, References, About Us and Contact,
  • Brand adapted, Privacy by Design, Search Engine Optimized/SEO, Responsive (Multi-device support) design,
  • contact form with anti-spam protection,
  • interactive map with company location marker,
  • one graphical animation, and
  • royalty free images.

Example 2: Web Professional + (22,900 kr)

Design of a 10-pages website, including:

  • Homepage and 9 more pages, e.g. Services, Reference Projects Gallery (2 pages), Frequently Asked Questions/FAQ, Blog (3 pages), About Us and Contact,
  • Brand adapted, Privacy by Design, Search Engine Optimized/SEO, Responsive (Multi-device support) design,
  • contact form with anti-spam protection,
  • interactive map with company location marker,
  • three graphical animations, and
  • royalty free images and 10 royalty paid images.
